Alzheimer\u2019s disease is basically all about a chronic neurodegenerative\u00a0disease that eventually starts slowly and then worsens over time. It is also the cause of 60-70% of cases of dementia. Alzheimer\u2019s disease is also caused by brain cell death. If a person is going through\u00a0Alzheimer\u2019s disease then the person’s tissue\u00a0would have fewer and fewer nerve cells and connections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The systems that are affected by\u00a0Alzheimer\u2019s disease are :<\/strong><\/p>\n

Central Nervous System<\/strong>
\nDigestive System<\/strong>
\nNeuromuscular System<\/strong><\/p>\n

The impact of Alzheimer’s disease on the society would be that\u00a0Alzheimer’s\u00a0is creating an enormous strain on the health care system, families and their federal budget.\u00a0Alzheimer’s\u00a0disease is a progressive brain disorder that damages and eventually destroys brain cells, leading to a loss of memory, thinking and other brain functions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The techniques to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease are :<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Ask the person and one of the family member or one of the friend questions about the overall health of the person, use of prescription and over-the-counter medicines, diet, past medical problems, ability to carry out daily activities, and the changes happened in the behaviour and the personality.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Conducting the tests problem solving, attention, memory, counting, and language<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Carry out standard medical tests, such as urine and blood tests, to identify other possible causes of the problem.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Perform brain scans, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) or positron emission tomography (PET), to rule out other possible causes for symptom. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    The economic impacts are that some people could not afford money for the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and lose their family members.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The cultural impacts are that some religion would agree for some of the tests that are taken to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The political impacts are that there are laws in some country which do not allow technical advances.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
