Parkinson’s<\/strong> disease<\/strong> is a neurological disorder of the central <\/span>nervous system<\/span><\/a>, which includes the <\/span>brain<\/span><\/a> and spinal cord.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parkinson\u2019s arises when neurons in the brain gradually die. Many of the symptoms like tremor, loss of balance are due to the death of neurons that produce a chemical in your brain called dopamine. Meaning people with <\/span>Parkinson’s don’t have enough of the dopamine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter which is responsible for controlling movement If there is a shift in levels of dopamine, It\u00a0will affect movements like slow movement, tremor, and loss of balance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coming over to the diagnoses<\/strong><\/p>\n

There’s currently no cure for\u00a0Parkinson’s disease<\/em>, but treatments are available to help relieve the symptoms and maintain your quality of life. There have been no stem cell transplants as of yet for Parkinson\u2019s patients. But…<\/p>\n

Harvard Stem Cell Institute researchers have found that fetal dopamine cells transplanted into the brains of patients with Parkinson\u2019s disease, as they noticed proteins that pump the dopamine, and mitochondria, remained healthy until the death of the patient. Also, research is going on, on injecting tiny bits of liquefied dopamine nerve cells into the brain via a thin needle.<\/span><\/p>\n

All of these were the causes, cures\u00a0and facts about the disease but here’s\u00a0the impact<\/strong> on the patient because of Parkinson’s:<\/p>\n

Social: Due to Parkinson’s\u00a0your movements are at vital change and so it gives a chance for bulling and make fun of. In the case of Parkinson’s at a young age(rare)<\/p>\n

Economic:\u00a0The total cost in the UK has been estimated to be between pound 449 million and pound 3.3 billion(2,99,37,10,50,000.0 rupees) annually, of the treatment for all 5 stages. which (for some ) may be quite expensive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Emotional:\u00a0Many people living with Parkinson\u2019s experience anxiety and\/or depression at some stage during their illness. Also\u00a0for which people with this disease go to a psychiatrist.<\/p>\n
