This means leukemia can be a cause for loss of blood due to poor blood clotting.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Frequent infections: The white blood cells are important for fighting off infection. If these are not working properly, frequent infections can take place.The immune system may attack other good body cells.<\/li>\n<li>Anemia: As the shortage of good red blood cells grows, anemia can result. In taking a health history, your doctor will ask questions about a personal history of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Physical exam.
