CAS Profile: Saniya Panjwani

Hi, I’m Saniya Panjwani, a 17 year-old from Fountainhead School, Surat. I’m an avid reader and I enjoy writing and cherishing poetries. I’ve also been involved in various sports including badminton since six years now and have participated and won several local and state tournaments. Recently I’ve developed an interest in graphic designing and am exploring the new field through a personal blog I run on Instagram. In the future I hope to become a marketeer and work in a tech and media company and someday open my own!

I’d like to be more involved with local brands in Surat and understand how can I build a similar business but through sustainable management which I believe is the future. Given that, I feel very passionate about social and political issues such as environmental wellbeing and feminism. I am also an active LGBTQ ally and am hoping to be involved with the community and try to help as much as possible.

My outlook on life has drastically changed since the pandemic, I’ve learned to enjoy my own company and discovered so much about myself from it. Moreover, I believe in constantly evolving by working hard on yourself and your goals and becoming the best version of you irrespective of what others are doing in their life which is why i’m against the idea of following the bandwagon.

I’ve always wanted to go on a solo trip now that travelling is safe again. Maybe backpacking Europe or trekking in Manali, irrespective of the location, I’d love to just be with myself again in a completely new environment and explore the world.
