CAS: Creativity- Plantation

Plantation helps maintain healthy soils and humidity levels in the air; they also help absorb and sink the carbon that would otherwise contribute to global heating. Plantation not only helps the environment but also provides a habitat for birds, animals, and humans. So I decided to plant three types of seeds, coriander, sesame, and fenugreek.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
In this activity, the only thing challenging for me was not knowing how to take care of each plant after planting them. To overcome this challenge: I watched many videos for these three types of seeds from which I got to know what all things I have to keep in mind after planting them.
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
Due to deadlines, submissions, and assignments, it was hard for me to check up on the plants, to commit to this activity, I made it sure to at least check four to five times a week.
LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
SDG: Climate action
In today’s time, where sea levels are rising, ice glaciers are melting, deforestation, ozone layer depletion and much more, it is important for humans to take a step towards it and prevent climate change. Plantation is one way where humans can plant trees. Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife.
