My friends and I had thought of organizing a cricket tournament as our CAS project. The main aim was to organize a cricket tournament for entertainment purposes and to learn more about organizing events. My friends and I had selected cricket as a sport for this tournament because it is the most popular sport in India
Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
There were a few challenges that I had faced during this activity: communication issues and self-management issues and I overcame these challenges and made these my strengths.
Learning Outcome 3: Initiate and plan a CAS experience
We initiated and planned a cricket tournament and we had prepared everything on time so that we do not face any difficulties during our tournament. Also, all the arrangements were done properly and the tournament went very smoothly.
Learning Outcome 5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
Working in a group is usually easy for me as I find it easier to work with people as a group and the work we do as a group is more efficient than doing it alone. Also after my project was done I understood that only one person cannot conduct a project. There should be a group to organize it. Working as a group was necessary for this project as there were many things that needed to be taken care of, so we divided the responsibilities, which made our work easier and efficient.
Learning Outcome 7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
The ethical issue which was involved in this project was the global pandemic. It was a cricket tournament where we can not insist everyone wear masks and maintain proper distance as it would hamper their performance on the field. There were a lot of players on the ground so everyone was not following the social distancing. So my friends and I decided to make some covid guidelines that everyone had followed and we had made sure that safety was there while the matches were going on. Some of the guidelines include, wearing masks and maintaing social distancing wherever possible and no handshakes/hugs.
