CAS – Basketball (Activity)

Basketball is a sport that I am very fond of, I have been playing for 2 years but then the pandemic began, and I was off the court for 7 to 8 months. When things were getting back to normal, I decided to join basketball classes. I was called up for practice for an hour from tuesday to friday every week. The learning outcomes which it provides were,

LO1- Identify own strengths and develop the area of growth, I had skills like passing, dribbling, shooting, etc. but after I began classes I started knowing new skills like advanced passing, shooting with accuracy, shooting one hand lay-up, etc. We also performed many activities to know our strengths and weaknesses.

LO2- Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken and developing new skills in the process, for me one of the main problem was that I had lack of practice, but with the help of my sir I gradually came back on track and improved my skills.

LO 4- Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experience, being on time was one of the most important things, basketball is very important for me and so I showed commitment towards it and never missed a class, being on time also improved my time management skills.

LO5 – Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively, I had a great time playing with my mates, we also performed some team-building activities to know each other better and coordinate with each other. To conclude, it was a very amazing experience and it was also very helpful as it taught me to coordinate with my teammates, staying punctual, and improved my skills.
