I love baking, but I would always bake the same old vanilla cupcakes or lemon bars. But this time I wanted to bake something new, something which is out of the box, so I decided to bake a custard pudding. I was a little scared as I was trying it for the first time, but it turned out to be very tasty. It was an astounding experience and I had a blast while doing it. The learning outcomes which this experience provided were,
LO1- Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth. It was a totally different and new experience for me, as I was trying it for the first time. I didn’t have any idea whether it would taste good or not, but it ended up to taste amazing so this experience taught me to try new things, it also taught me to be patient and careful as one mistake can ruin the whole process.
LO2- Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process. During this experience, I increased my knowledge on how to make caramel and egg mixture for the pudding and I also developed my baking skills.
LO4- Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences. I could have just baked what I usually bake, but I wanted to try something new and I was committed towards it and because of this I didn’t leave it in between instead I baked it properly with perseverance. To conclude I had a great time performing this experience, I learned new recipes and after this experience I have really started to be open-minded towards baking.
