Math Club 2.0 Experience

Math club students from IBMYP grade 8 and 9 were taught concepts from their curriculum, around 3 units were covered for both the grades during their summer vacation to brush their concepts.

LO 1Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
DescriptorStudents are able to see themselves as individuals with various abilities and skills, of which some are more developed than others.
The curriculum of the students was organized by us and we presented the same curriculum to them representing the concepts that they are going to learn in the coming term and ace in their classes.
LO 2Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Descriptor
A new challenge may be an unfamiliar experience or an extension of an existing one. The newly acquired or developed skills may be shown through experiences that the student has not previously undertaken or through increased expertise in an established area.
The greatest challange undertaken was teaching students through an online platform another challange was how would the concepts be taught to the students so that they are clear with them and learn the concepts easily, through this new concepts and skills were developed in the students.
LO 5Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
DescriptorStudents are able to identify, demonstrate and critically discuss the benefits and challenges of collaboration gained through CAS experiences.
The benefit of working collaboratively shows how bigger and bigger projects like the math club have been acomplished. Working collaboratively helped the students to get their doubts and concepts clear.
