AutoCAD is a software that one can use to create floor plans and interior work for a building. I have taken a weeklong course at it and grown confident with my ability with it. As a final test I created a floor plan for my new house.
L1.Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
AutoCAD highly depends on your own ability to use specific information and imagination. I have a great eye for detail that helped me in this process of learning. Due to that I have great precision in what I do. Second thing that was very necessary for AutoCAD was great imagination. In the initial stages I found that very difficult as I could not comprehend how making some lines would help in creating an entire floor plan. With patience, faith and hard work I was able to master this software.
L2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
The challenge that I faced was my lack of faith which caused me to doubt myself and the teaching process. From this challenge I acquired the skill to trust my educator and have never lost faith in myself, no matter how bad the journey seems.
L3. Initiate and plan a CAS experience
I initiated this Experience by having a strong urge to learn and practicing AutoCAD and being Studious with the tutor who was teaching me. I planned this experience by putting myself to deadlines. My first deadline was to make an overall floor plan with milistic furniture, then I would make a floor plan combined to the entire compound. Then I would have made the entire home with every single feature.
L4. Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
I believe I have shown commitment in this process by working on it even after I personally could not imagine how the outcome might come out, and not losing hope. When one must show perseverance I showed and I have the results to back me up. I am now able to make any place in the world on the AutoCAD software.
