The service which I have chosen is Street cleaning. I found that the streets in my area were dirty and full of garbage so as a responsible person I thought to clean it all by myself. The purpose of selecting a particular CAS experience is not just for fulfilling the CAS requirements but also to keep the environment and our surroundings clean. The main issue which I will be focusing upon is cleanliness.

When I saw the streets near my house were dirty, I felt that it was my duty to keep it clean as I should be a responsible citizen and take care of it. The first challenge which I felt was gathering people. So, when I made some phone calls to people for asking help to clean the streets they weren’t ready to do that, but I encouraged them in doing it so they came and helped me with it. The other challenge which I felt was to convince people to keep the city clean. So, with the help of social media, I tried to do that.
LO 3 Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
As we had a long weekend leave, I decided to go for a cleanliness drive for all three days. I was able to make people understand and make them know what impact can we make if we personally engage in these types of cleanliness activities.
LO4 Commitment to and perseverance
Commitment to cleaning the streets was not a concern for me because I liked doing it after I did it on the first day. As I said earlier, we went to clean streets three days a week. We found it to be quite fun and engaging. We nearly went for almost 3 hours each day for the activity.

So after doing the activity we found it out to be quite fun and engaging so we went 3 hours each day. Cleanliness around us is very much important and also has a major global significance.
