In this CAS experience, I started drawing. I never really liked drawing before I started this experience. Even when I got projects where I needed to draw or something like that, I would pour that off to my mother or sister. I always thought I was really bad at drawing and never really tried but CAS was a great opportunity for me. Drawing is also a very useful skill for my career, game designer, as character design and environment design is first done on paper. In this, I drew a couple of anime characters because of the rising popularity of anime games and general anime.
Creativity
Strands Covered: LO1, LO2, LO3, LO4
LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
In this CAS experience, I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses, for example, I was able to identify that I am alot better in pencil shading than acrylic colors and in a way also able to identify that I have a good psychomotor skills. I was also able to identify one of my weakness that is I am not good at having patience.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
This CAS experience was a challenge for me because drawing was something I never took serious never really did. All other drawing projects earlier were done by either by mom with not much input but understanding that this is gonna be a skill I need as a game develop I improved my skills and learned various techniques.
LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
Usually, I am not an organized person but for this project, I started from slow and than went on to harder design slowly rather than trying to recreate a drawing which is not gonna be able to do. I watched many different tutorials and learned various skills from it.
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
For me personally, it is really hard to commit to things and be persistent. I keep jumping from task to task however this CAS experience was different for me. This was something I unexpectedly loved to do. It was actually fun to do and if given the opportunity, I still do it. Sometimes my mom has to come and ask me to stop and study rather than doing this.
This CAS experience was a really great experience for me. I was able to fund a new hobby that I love and expect to do in future
