CAS experience 7: WBFL

Business Management is one of my favorite subjects and I always wanted to learn more about this subject and its concepts. So I thought of giving this exam to help me learn and see my knowledge of the subject. Also, my career is related to Business management so this exam helped me to know more about the subject. Our school had provided some material to prepare for this exam and the exam had choices between 4 subsets of BM- Marketing, Management, Global Business, and Entrepreneurship out of which I choose Marketing.

Learning Outcome 1: Identify their own strengths and areas of growth

This exam had helped me a lot as I was able to find my strengths and areas of growth. Also, this exam gave me an idea about how much knowledge I have about the subject. When I started preparing for the examination- reading through the 94-pages source provided for the WFBL exam, I realized that there were many things that I didn’t know, so I had left a space for the new concepts.

Learning Outcome 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS Experience

The thing which made this activity difficult was the curriculum of the exam. The syllabus for the exam was very lengthy and some of the concepts were new to me. So it was a little bit complicated and I had to prepare it all on my own. This needed commitment and perseverance, as it was not a simple task for me. For the test, I needed to revise my old knowledge and connect it with the concepts which would make my understanding clear. So my prior knowledge, what we learned in school have helped me discover the new concepts and understand them better. The commitment was very necessary as if I hadn’t shown a commitment, I would be able to give the exam as the concepts were complicated. Perseverance and commitment were important in this activity as it helps us understand things better and help us in achieving our aims easily.

This exam was a great learning experience as it gave me a lot of knowledge and while I was preparing for the exam the concepts were giving me a curiosity to know more about the concepts. The learner profile which I had developed during the course of this experience was Knowledgeable.
