CAS Experience 6: Feeding Dogs

Feeding dogs is very necessary as there are many dogs who are hungry for many days and usually dogs die because of not getting food. So as my CAS experience I decided to feed dogs as many as I can so that dogs don’t stay hungry.

Learning Outcome 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

The commitment was very necessary to complete this activity as if I did not give a commitment, I would also forget sometimes to feed the dogs. Also, commitment to being regular and also not giving up would help me achieve my goals.

Learning Outcome 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.

Working with others is easy for me and the task is done more efficiently. In this activity, my friends and I had decided together to feed dogs at different places. So working together for this activity was very helpful to us as we were able to feed many dogs, and each one of us had decided some particular places where we would feed the dogs. Also dividing our responsibilities helped us to complete our activity.

Learning Outcome 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

The issues of global significance were zero hunger and life on land and these issues are important globally as there are many dogs who do not get food for many days and they are dying because of no food so that is the reason for choosing this activity so that I could feed the dogs. Knowing about global issues helps in personal growth as then it helps us to solve the issues at our level. It makes me feel good when I do this kind of work.

Learning Outcome 7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

It is very important to be ethical towards my work so my friends and I decided we would travel to different areas and feed dogs so that many of the dogs get some food. The ethical issue hit me directly as if some dog doesn’t get food and another would get then it would hurt me and I would surely feed the remaining one too.  The issue made me sad as some dogs were eating all the food and some didn’t get any which is why I tried to give all the dogs an equal amount of food.
