My CAS experience was to go to the gym for physical exercise. After the lockdown was lifted, the schools had not been opened due to COVID-19, but gyms started opening at limiting capacities, so I took the chance to try and get my body in shape. I went to the gym 5 times a week, for 1 hour before the online school.
Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcome 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Physical fitness is very important, and when I had the opportunity to exercise daily because schools were closed, I took it and tried to get into shape and reduce fat. It was an area of growth, physical fitness and I tried to grow by exercising regularly.
Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate challenges have undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Waking up every morning, as early as 6:30 am is very difficult, especially when it is to exercise. It was a challenge everyday to wake up and I also tried to challenge myself at the gym by pushing my limits in order to get the maximum out of this experience.
Learning Outcome 3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
I had planned my gym so that I could also attend distance classes, and also have time for extracurricular activities. This helped me get a better life cycle because I slept early and woke up early, which helped my circadian rhythm.
Learning Outcome 4: Show commitment and perseverance towards CAS
I went to gym consistently, most of the time, I pushed myself in order to reap the maximum benefits of gymming. I went 5 days a week, most of the time. Sometimes I had to skip because of an exam or injury, however, I tried to cover it up on Saturdays.
To conclude, it was really fun going to gym, it felt good after exercising and it also helped me get into shape. It really helped me boost my endorphin level, which is a pain killer and natural mood elevator.
