Yoga and Exercise

Fitness and relaxation is always a important marking component for healthy and long living life.

My journey all set to begin from when I use to always counter myself that why I can’t continuously run longer than 20 minutes and get tired soon or start huffing loudly before that when playing football or cricket with family and friends. I always used to get demotivated and harder after seeing others playing well even after 20 minutes. I always used to feel bad and depressed about that. Seeing that I thought about it a lot also asked from different people about it and then got to know from someone that it is due to lack of your fitness and to solve the issue you need start doing Yoga and Fitness sessions with a professional coach.

Later on decided to start doing yoga for one hour daily with my dad who was already doing with Satya Prakash Sir who used to come daily for dad. Before this issue experienced my dad also had suggested me to do with him but i refused it many times. I also decided to take this as my CAS experience as it required lot of dedication and commitment towards it to beat your weakness.

Mission of the activity that was achieved to solve the issue:

Learning out new Asanas of yoga daily and being capable of doing Balancing asanas for 2 minutes, Relaxation asanas for 100 times in a day and can constantly play for 1 hour without any tiredness or huffles.

Learning Objectives achieved :

LO 1 : Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

My major weakness was identified in this experience that I can’t play a sport for more than 20 minutes with full of energy and participation. Due to lack of stamina, fitness, relaxation and proper stretching before and after the games. While I had strength to take out every responsibility and task seriously and be committed towards it until the target of the task is achieved or responsibility fulfilled. This lead me to achieve the target and make my weakness a strength using yoga asanas and fitness exercises.

LO 2 : Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.

In the initial sessions I was not able to cope with requirement of sir and was not able to any of the exercise with perfect posture or speed. I was not able to do any of the balancing asanas for more than 30 seconds. It was very difficult for me to run speedly on toes at one place for more than five minutes. Which also demotivated and distracted it me from it. But within the time I overcame that challenges and moved on. Unfortunately again then popped out new challenge Covid-19 epidemic and it went irregular for some time. But then as soon as the complete lockdown shifted to partial lockdown sir again started coming and then we worked more tougher and accomplished are target. I had missed 2-3 sessions due to some medical issues. But, later with commitment covered up with an extra session on sunday.

LO 4 : Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.

Many times I had disturbances in sleep cycle or was demotivated due to less progress. Looking at that I thought of missing out 2-3 sessions to relax and completed sleep session or to get out of the emotional disturbance. But then I explained myself that it is important to achieve the target soon and get better at sports to cope of up with others and play flawlessly with them. Due to Covid issue many sessions were missed and I got irregular with my routine and forgot many things. But than as soon as things were better we again started with it because now we had to major target to be safe from covid 19 and being more fit to play with others or fight with any problems, pandemics or epidemics.

LO 5 : Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.

This required a big collaboration between me and sir. This experience took our best out of us to achieve the target and committing dedicated participation. At every moment I had to find out what issue I was facing and share it to sir to make it easy or more better. Sir had to work out at every moment so that I give my best and achieve the target faster. Sir had to plan out every session perfectly to get best out of me and I don’t face any issues. And atlast we had to meet out each other requirements to achieve the best.

LO 6 : Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Current generation has deeply drowned in the dreams of technology that they don’t realise the upcoming challenges in their longevity and healthy life. We only think of using mobiles or other devices as our entertaining and working source in current era and have forgotten about health and well being. I am also from one of them. I was also lost in technological dreams so much that I could not realise that my health was being affected the most and was becoming less healthy and fit day by day. This experience has helped to fight against this issue and ensure healthy life and well being at all ages.
