Sickle Cell Disease – Zeel patel
Sickle cell anemia is an inherited form of anemia — a condition in which there aren’t enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen throughout your body. Normally, your red blood cells are flexible and round, moving easily through your blood vessels. In sickle cell anemia, the red blood cells become rigid and sticky […]
cardiac arrest
cardic assest is A heart attack is when blood flow to the heart is blocked, and sudden cardiac arrest is when the heart malfunctions and suddenly stops beating unexpectedly. A heart attack is a “circulation” problem and sudden cardiac arrest is an “electrical” problem. And can affect breathing and consciousness Impact of the disease on […]
CARDIAC ARREST
“Cardiac arrests” is the most common disease in the field of Neuron Circulation or our Circulatory system, heart therapology doctors says it has been increasing day by day in a huge amount. The data of United States claims that every year there have been more than 350,000 deaths due to cardiac arrests mostly outside of the hospitals. Cardiac arrest is a excessive loss of heart function, mostly when your blood pressure or hypertension increases. It can mostly appears in the patients when they are not diagnoses with any heart diseases. There have been increasing risks for it because it often comes without any symptoms.
Scientists claims that it is often triggered by an electrical malfunction in the heart that causes an irregular heartbeat ( this is called Arrhythmia it is a problem with the rate or rhythm of your heartbeat. It means that your heart beats too quickly, too slowly, or with an irregular pattern ). With its pumping action disrupted, the heart cannot pump blood to the brain, lungs and other organs which causes disruption in breathing or circulatory system. This diseases can affect the whole body as it stops the flow of oxygen throughout the body as the functions of the heart fails. This can bring irregular pattern in heartbeat and may affect the brain as the brain will stop sending signals due to the consciousness and stop in breathing. During this the person loses consciousness and the heart beats stops if if is not treated at the same time by and CPR the person may lose his life
This disease is wide spreading in a huge amount to the society. The association SCA also claims that Sudden Cardiac Arrest accounts for more than 350,000 deaths in the U.S. each year and is one of the leading causes of death in the United States each year. In fact, SCA claims one life every 90 seconds, taking more lives each year than breast cancer, lung cancer or AIDS. Unfortunately, 95 percent of people who experience SCA die as a result, mainly because treatment within minutes is not accessible. This diseases is increasing the fear of death in each civilian of the society.
This diseases cannot be diagnosed by any MRI, CT or any scans because it is a disease acting without any symptoms it can be treated only in 50 seconds if there is availability of CPR nearby your area or location.Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is an emergency procedure that combines chest compression often with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest. If it doesn’t work out Call 911 or Ambulance.
CPR GUIDELINES :
If the cardiac arrests is at the last stage it can also be cured by Cardiac transplantation which is an effective therapy for patients with end-stage heart failure, but it is still hindered by the lack of donor organs. A history of donor cardiac arrest raises trepidation regarding the possibility of poor post-transplant outcomes. The impact of donor cardiac arrest following successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation on heart transplant outcomes is unknown.
But the scientist says that if the doctors meet the following criteria they can be successful that if standard recipient and donor transplantation criteria are met, but also in consideration to a point that a history of donor cardiac arrest should not prohibit the potential consideration of an organ for transplantation. Scientist also claims that Cardiac transplantation is the most effective treatment for patients with end-stage heart failure. But unfortunately, only 1 in 4 donors who have given consent are utilized for heart transplantation, and the availability of suitable donor organs limits its effectiveness. Also strategies to increase the donor pool may, therefore, have a substantial impact on the treatment of patients with severe end-stage heart failure.
Contradistinction point here is although if it is Successful then there have been cases which states a substantial proportion of organ donors have histories of cardiac arrest prior to their eventual diagnosis of brain stem death. Hence, Comparing many of these patients are resuscitated successfully and regain normal cardiac function, as evidenced by hemodynamic and electrocardiograph data. In such circumstances, these donors are commonly approached with caution by transplant surgeons. Although many of these hearts may meet standard functional criteria for transplantation, there still have been exposed to a period of warm ischemia, which may result in myocardial injury.
Thus to conclude that Cardiac Arrests is almost similar but different form heart attack it can be treated within 90 seconds if the proper CPR procedure is followed by the family member or members around them. Otherwise, the person may lose the life and chances of regaining will decrease. It’s precautions cannot be taken before because it is not diagnosing disease. It it has reach to the end stage of heart failure it may be required by transplantation within 4 hours if the proper heart or donor is available.
SICKLE CELL ANEMIA
sickle cell anemia is a rare disease, fewer than 1 million case per year.sickle cell anemia is a genetic disease which is inherited from our parents. it is a condition in which red blood cells are not shaped as normal. The sickle cell starts to bind and it block the part way of blood vessels which lead […]
